Avoid Mortgage Scams When You Buy, Sell or Refinance Your Home

It is easy in todays contantly changing economic landscape to become disillusioned, especially when it comes to mortgages. There are more than a few unscrupulous mortgage lenders out there. Add that to the seemingly unlimited number of options available and it can be hard to make the proper decision.

The best advice I can give any buyer, or potential refi 'victim', is :

1- consult with your Realtor
2- educate yourself before making a decision.

A  good Realtor is an important part of your circle of professionals that help you plan your finacial future. Whether its providing you with valuable real estate investment advice or making sure you are aware of the current market conditions affecting the value of your home, its important to maintain a relationship with a knowledgeable Realtor.

Its also your job to educate yourself on the different mortgage products available and which ones are better suited to your needs. There are many sites on the internet available. A few links you might find helpful are below.
